23 Mar Print festival, leeks and contact group photos

Dear reader,

This week has offered many different activities. Of course, there is still a lot of focus on exams and tests - especially now that the oral exams are just around the corner. The gardens have received a lot of attention from the contact groups, who enjoy having their fingers in the soil. On Tuesday the whole school went to the AFTRYK Festival in Bælum with 1400 other young people from afterschools all over the country - it was a huge party! On Thursday there was a photo shoot for this year's commemorative photo and Blue Book.

AFTRYK 2015 in pictures.

AFTRYK is a music festival for efterskoler across the country, organised by Østhimmerlands Ungdomsskole in Bælum. 15 efterskoles participated with one or more bands, and our own music team performed in front of 1400 other young people. The whole school participated at the festival to hear some good music and support a great event. It was a late night that ended with a mini-concert with the highly topical band Ulige Numre.

Gardens for stomachs: We plant radishes , carrots and pumpkins.

Kt group 40 in the garden.... Radishes, carrots and pumpkins have been sown and planted. And rumour has it that our talented kitchen boy Kaasing has just finished planting 800 leeks. So there should be enough for everyone if the rumours are true.

On Thursday, contact group photos were also taken for the Blue Book and it's safe to say that they are creative in front of the camera.

We are looking for a teacher for International Maths and Business Studies

Ranum Efterskole College is looking for a teacher who can teach International Maths and Business Studies at Cambridge IGCSE and AS Level on the international line.

Closure & Good weekend

The coming week offers oral exams and then it's the last chance for the boys to invite the girls to the Gala Party. From 1 June, it's the girls' turn to invite.
We will have a long weekend where several of our students will participate in the annual carnival in Aalborg. It is a festive event with lots of colour and fun, and it takes place outside the rules and framework of the afterschool, under the responsibility of the home 🙂 Enjoy it and take care of each other in the crowd!
We will meet again on Monday evening after 18.00.
