11 Jun Dream Festival, Ready for travels & activities
Dear reader,
There are two main themes for this week's newsletter, and naturally it is Dream Festival and that we are on our way out and traveling.
We will start with a dream of a festival.
Dream Festival comes true
Thursday to Friday we had our very own festival for the first time in Ranum's history. There were bands, stand-up comedians, food stalls and bars, camp areas, cozy areas and of course a big stage right in the heart of the festival.
The four performers were comedian Simon Væver, former student of Ranum and Danish stand-up champion. Lynnerup Trio, who played lots of well-known covers in the sunshine, then there was Mags with the crisp voice and lots of plays on P3, and last but not least Kesi finished with a huge bang. It was so clear to feel how the students lived into what the different artists brought to them, and we are happy with the experience Dream Festival unfolded into.
We have collected approx. 500 photos in the Flickr album here: Dream Festival 2021 photos (click here)
On Instagram, we shared photos and videos throughout the day, and you can see them in our highligts here: Dream Festival 2021 Instagram stories (click here)
Finally we're going on a travel
We have talked a lot about travels this year, and in most cases it has been with a focus on what is not possible. Now, it's different!
Earlier this morning, the diving team Malta, and when the weekend is over, everyone is approx. 420 students taken on a truly well-deserved journey. In addition to the diving trip to Malta, sailing to Mallorca and the rest take to Northern Italy, which is also the largest group.
We collect all the good stories and pictures on a Facebook page that you can see by clicking here.
We hope it will be some great travels and we are grateful that wishes to get going came true.
Activities
While some have been to the exam, others have had various activities on the schedule. This has been the case for the last few weeks, and now all the exams are over, and we are putting the academics aside for the rest this year.
The week has, among other things, offered horseback riding, climbing trips and trips to Aalborg.
Now, there's only two newsletters left this year. When the students come home from the travels, there is only the outro week left, so the year is coming to an end. Fortunately, there is a lot to look forward to, and it looks like we will have a wonderful end to the efterskole year.
Thank you for reading the newsletter.
