13 Sep Vilsted Lake Race breaks record
Dear reader,
Another wonderful week has passed at Ranum and we have experienced many things. The Vilsted Sø Løb takes place tomorrow, Saturday 14 September, and we have been training hard to participate in the different routes. This year, there are even more participants than ever before and we are looking forward to seeing so many lovely people for a wonderful day in Ranum. The profile subjects have enjoyed the sunny days outdoors and cosy indoors in the rain. For the staff, we organised an ESG workshop where we focused on a more sustainable development for the school's development - both the practical and the social aspects.
Happy reading & weekend.

Outdoor Weekend
The Outdoor Weekend was nothing short of fantastic with a round of Indian summer that brought back the summer nights for a while. We were out in the beautiful weather and experienced nature up close with walks and food over a campfire.
Ceramics cosiness
The 10+ Ceramics class enjoyed immersion and chatting while making the most beautiful mugs.
Adventure is getting ready
The Adventure profile subject gets new skills this week with theory on the best campfire in nature and opens up to climbing. They'll soon be ready for the Norwegian nature!
ESG workshop on sustainability
Our ESG and sustainability consultants Sofie Dal and Emilie Krogh Jensen organised a super exciting workshop on the school's current state and future within sustainability. Both the direct practical approach and the sustainable education of both students and staff. It was a day filled with new knowledge, good conversations and ideas on how we can make the school even more sustainable and prepare for the future.
Wakeboarding
Wakeboarding has had fantastic days on the water this week - both on the large course in Thisted and the smaller one here in Rønbjerg.
10+ Climbing
We had the coolest trip to a real climbing park where we reached the heights among the crowns of the trees
Headmaster's column
Dear reader,
It has been an intense week for students and staff. Apart from a serious pedagogical issue with students, the week has also been full of good energy and many students are looking forward to the family coming to visit on Saturday for the Vilsted Lake Run and Family Day.
During the week, we have unfortunately had to send students home to 5 different countries because they have experimented with cannabis or alcohol. It really hurts both the students who end their stay prematurely, but also their friends. It's a tough lesson that you have a responsibility and choice when it comes to speaking up or not dragging mates into trouble.
We're in for a big weekend and an eventful week. We start on Saturday with the Vilsted Lake Race and a record number of families and students have signed up. After the race, it's important that parents prioritise attending a briefing on the choice of cultural subjects from the principal and the student parties from the voluntary parent council.
On Sunday there will be guided tours for more than 50 interested families, and more than 100 students have chosen to go skydiving. On Monday we'll have a unique speaker Mizz Privileze and in the evening there will be a concert with Patina.
Wednesday we have an Intenational evening, where the students present their regional and national culture to each other in different rooms throughout the school. Thursday is free at 14.30 - and the Ranum Buses are ready to take the students home for the long weekend.
