Headmaster's column
Dear reader,
The trips are coming to an end and over the weekend the students will return home to rest for the autumn holidays.
I have been on a sailing expedition in Croatia. We have sailed in all kinds of weather, anchored in beautiful deep bays and visited old harbour towns in the waters around Split.
Being on board and sailing provides the best conditions for getting to know life at sea. It is life skills to be able to navigate and trim, steer the ship by sail and engine, do man overboard exercises and dock a 15-metre ship.
It's life-affirming and enriching to share the experience with your mates and a unique experience for us adults.
I wish you all a happy end to your travels and a great autumn holiday.
We look forward to seeing the students back again on 20 October.
Best regards and have a nice weekend
