Wakeboarding - Miami

Category
Cultural profile 2022

Are you fresh as the wind, ready for the waves and dreaming of sunshine? Then Miami Wakeboarding is for you!

With wakeboarding you will have a lot of fun on the water, both here in Denmark, but also in Miami, where the journey goes!

The Lessons

In Wakeboarding - Miami we practice our wakeboarding skills at home before we travel to sunny Florida. On the days when the weather is not with us, we will instead strength train at the school, swim in Rønbjerg or watch a wakeboarding movie.

In addition to this practical part, there will also be professional learning about life in Miami, and safety at sea. We will also explore the Latin culture that characterizes the environment around Miami and Little Havana. We will explore the culture from home so that we are well prepared for the sunny days in Miami.

The trip

In Miami we will live life in cabins, go to the cable park during the day and barbecue at night. So we'll eat and live like the people around us. On the days we're not wakeboarding, we'll experience the many sides of Miami; learn about the Latin culture found in Little Havana, visit one of our two friendship schools and explore the nature found in Florida's largest national park, the Everglades. Depending on the type of team we have, we will adjust the focus between culture and wakeboarding to fit the students' interests.

The trip to Miami will therefore include both culture and wakeboarding, and is a true culture-profile trip.

The aim of the trip is to experience a different culture - to feel the differences and to get to know the nature and surroundings of the destination. We will meet locals and get under their skin, and let them get under ours.
Travelling is exciting and you learn a lot by trying out new conditions. However, there will probably be better conditions for wakeboarding in Miami, and at the same time we get closer together as a group and get to know each other better.
