03 Nov Beachcleaning, Nepalese school leader visit and spooky week
Dear reader,
Rewind time a week.
There's a student party. Friday night in Haverslev Hallen.400, plus a few handfuls of immensely lovely, beautiful young people are about to shoot off an evening they'll never forget. The good mood has settled into the dimples and is forcing teeth to smile. All around, rainbow-coloured, homemade t-shirts adorn the REC students. This night is about growing their bonds and friendships. Beautifully buttered isn't just what you do to the round buns this weekend. It's also the words that describe this evening organized by the Parent Council.
Fast forward to today. The Friday after. Caring, loving and responsible. Those are the words being said about the students. Last weekend's student party is a shining example of why we have the best students in the world.
The past week has been in the name of friendship. We have had a visit from the head teacher and an English teacher from our friendship school in Nepal. In addition, we held a reunion day for old students last weekend, where old and new friendships met.
Welcome to this week's newsletter!
4-1 over football rivals from HU
We have to start with some good news.
Yesterday we beat Himmerlands Ungdomsskole in a fantastic football match. Not by 1 or 2 goals, but by 3 goals. 4-1 was the end of the match. That's great news to go into the weekend with, isn't it? We are certainly proud of the great result.
Reunion day gave joy and went brilliantly

Uuuuuhyggeligt - For a moment, the school was transformed.
... Of course because there was Halloooweeen. The school has been decorated and transformed during the week.
From today all our power comes from wind turbines
It's a big day for the planet but a bigger day for us. We have reached another environmental milestone. From today, all our power will come from wind turbines. But we still turn off the lights behind us.
Warm and safe sailing
Students from the sailing team are on their way home from Thisted after trying to get Matcher 37 measured for racing. The weather is chilly but the flotation suits provide both warmth and safety.
Visit from Nepal
We have had the honour of having a visit from Mr. Bishnu Bahadur Thapiliya, who is the Headmaster of our Nepalese Friendship School, and English teacher, Mrs. Binda Devi Rayamajahee, all this week. It is a visit that means a lot to us as a school, and therefore we are very proud that the Lions Club Løgstør yesterday presented a donation of DKK 10,000 to the school's founder Shiva Thapiliya (left) and headmaster Bishnu Bahadur Thapiliya.
The most important day - in someone else's life - Collection on Sunday!

We wish everyone a very good weekend.
