12 Feb The many cultural journeys are coming to an end
Dear reader,
It's dark and grey in Himmerland, but between yesterday and Sunday, staff and students are bringing light and adventure back to school.
The many cultural journeys are coming to an end, and as you may have seen on Facebook and on the Exploretheworld.com site, the students have had a variety of challenges and experiences. They have come closer, both academically and especially personally, to understanding the part of the world they have visited and explored.
They have become a small part of a global community, and they all have a personal story for you to enjoy. Some have been deeper in the cultural layers than others, but all have done their best according to their desire, courage and ability! The many staff who have accompanied students around the world have done a fantastic job and deserve a big pat on the back.
It takes a long time for great experiences to sink in and be processed into stories, but it's worth the wait. You can gather impressions in the waiting time from any of these experiences from the cultural journeys mediated by the students. They include the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and show, in addition to strong communities and moods, that young people are also taking action about the state of the world.
See an ultra short, but good, summary of photos from the last part of the trips.
Both students and staff will be exhausted by jet lag and sensory impressions for the next week, so we have cancelled morning exercise and the week will end already on Thursday at 2pm, because there are no classes on Friday and an extended weekend.
Have a great weekend.
Greetings all of us at
