25 Feb Students finally return "home"
Dear reader,
It's been a long week to get through, but we're finally where we can say, that we open again.
The news came already on Wednesday and it was a relief we can't put into words how happy we were to get. So now it's time to get on with what we do best - which is after school life. We need to catch up on everything we haven't had the chance to do since before the Christmas holidays, so we can have a wonderful last period at Ranum.
Ranum Efterskole College reopens Monday between 15.00 -17.30. We open on Monday because it is then possible to ensure that all staff and pupils have been tested before we meet, and because we expect everyone in the whole school to be tested on Tuesday, as an extra precaution. It is a requirement that everyone can show proof of a negative test that is no more than 72 hours old.
We are very much looking forward to seeing our missing students again and to filling the school with after-school life.
We build and improve
It also means that here at the school we've been really busy finishing all the projects we've been working on during the shutdown. But we're really looking forward to showing the students the new developments.
Classrooms have new ceilings and carpets, Gastronomy has a new floor and has been spruced up, the outside exercise racks have been completed, the corridors have mini libraries, media has been expanded and has new machines, the costume room has been moved, tidied up and improved. In addition, a lot has happened in both Ranumhus and Kærhuset, which the students can look forward to when they return.
The reopening is by far the best news of the week, so we'll leave it alone with a promise that next week will be filled with great afterschool stories.
If you're wondering where the Sofa Session has gone, head over to Facebook or YouTube - it'll be there later.
