EPAS
European Parliament Ambassador School
Ranum Efterskole College is part of a program prepared by the European Parliament, which aims to create awareness of the European Parliament's work and tasks. The program focuses on expanding students' knowledge of democracy at a European level, as well as highlighting the importance of the European Parliament's work in the everyday lives of young people. Ranum Efterskole College has chosen to participate in the program, as the program's visions of working together across national borders are clearly identifiable with the school's objectives and basis.
There are 700 ambassadorial schools in the EU, and all schools work towards the same goal - namely to inform EU youth about the work of the European Parliament, and to get them to vote in elections.
At Ranum Efterskole College, students experience the extended EU teaching in the traditional social studies subjects: Social Studies 9/10. class and Politics and Society. In addition, we have associated both Margrete Auken and Pernille Weiss, with whom we have the opportunity to hold skype sessions. In this context, students can ask questions and thus be in direct contact with Members of the European Parliament.
As an ambassador school, we receive exciting offers throughout the year from many different partners, which gives us the opportunity to be visited by exciting presenters, eTwinning with young people in other countries and much more.
