Teamwork, american culture and community are key elements of cheerleading

Cheerleading is a subject where we try to give each student the experience of being a "cheerleader". We learn and practice cheerleading stunts and routines and try to create a performance where everyone can participate and be involved. Previous experience is not required.

The trip

In Los Angeles we hope to visit High School cheerleaders (maybe we can even attend classes for a day or two so you can meet American teenagers and get an insight into their everyday lives), visit a College/University to see/meet their cheerleaders and a Cheer Club that sends teams to National and World Championships. If we are lucky, we might even get to attend their practices and be coached by their coaches.

Outside of cheerleading, Los Angeles offers a wealth of things to see and do. Together, we'll talk about the possibilities of what you'd like to do and see, and try to make it happen.

The lessons

Cheerleading is all about teamwork, which is why it's important that you show up every time if you choose Cheerleading. You become part of a team, and if you don't show up, others will suffer.

Cheerleading contains many different elements and when we have to work with acrobatics, tumbling, lifting and throwing and small choreographies, we therefore have contact with several guest teachers who are specialists in the different areas. We also experience all of this on the profile trip.

This combination contributes to unforgettable experiences, but also to students' personal formation and development.

Corona: Restrictions, rules etc.

"Entry is prohibited for travellers who have not been fully vaccinated, with limited exceptions.

If you are fully vaccinated AND have either tested negative for COVID-19 or can show proof of having had COVID and recovered within 90 days (both proof of positive test and letter from doctor or health authority), you can fly to the US provided you have a valid ESTA or a valid visa. 

The Danish corona passport can be used as proof of completed vaccination and test results when entering the USA.

Certain travellers are exempt from the vaccination requirement, including children under 18 years of age, US citizens and permanent US residents. The full list of exemptions can be found in the White House announcement.
